Hearty congratulations to...

Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, Amy Ryan, and Rainn Wilson in making their respective top 10s at the Emmys!

But perhaps, an even bigger congratulations to Steve Carell, for changing his episode from "Branch Wars" to "Goodbye, Toby" (maybe he read this blog ;) ). I think Baldwin's still going to win this one, but at least it's a fight now.

I watched some of the MTV Movie Awards.

OH GOD I COULD ONLY TAKE SO MUCH.

Random observations:
- Rainn was funny. DWIGHT SCHRUTE!
- Anne Hathaway presenting an award to Johnny Depp: my personal nightmare come true?
- How many of those things does Johnny Depp have, anyway?
- THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! Oh, Steve.
- DON'T LET RDJ NEAR THE POT! WHY DID YOU DO THAT!
- Between James Franco and Seth Rogen, I'll take the latter.
- It's a really bad thing when the MTV Movie Awards nominate your Best Picture of the year for their equivalent of Best Picture, and your Best Actress of the year for their equivalent of Best Actress, and the Oscars don't.
- the skit with the monkey and Verne Troyer and the Orbit lady was so repulsive I had to turn off the awards.

Whoever did this cover was not kind of an expert at PhotoShop.

They look plastic. Not to mention, like Jenna, John, and Rainn, not Pam, Jim, and Dwight.

Also, was this the "majorly spoilery" cover according to OfficeTally? Cuz...it's really not. It's just speculation we all have. It's as appropriate as "Will Jim and Pam get together???" would have been during Season 2 or 3.

Also also (teehee), PEOPLE NEED TO STOP MAKING SUCH A BIG DEAL ABOUT THE EXPRESSION ON JENNA'S FACE. It's not a still from an episode (unless it's like The Office: Barbie Edition). They're just tryin' to hype everything up. Geez.

Just in case you doubted Ed Helms could bring the amazing.

He's the definition of "totally annoying character, totally amazing performance." I actually just might like his performance better than Rainn's...and I love Dwight K. Schrute. Aside from Jim and Michael, he's certainly my favorite character.

happy birthday, Rainn Wilson.

I have been Michael's number two guy for about five years. And we make a great team. We're like one of those classic famous teams. He's like Mozart and I'm like...Mozart's friend. No. I'm like Butch Cassidy and Michael is like... Mozart. You try and hurt Mozart? You're gonna get a bullet in your head courtesy of Butch Cassidy.
