I was reading the NYYFans archive, and I found a thread from 2006 suggesting the Yankees trade A-Rod to the Angels for three very highly touted prospects at the time:
- Brandon Wood
- Jeff Mathis
- Nick Adenhart
Yeah this would have been a bad move. I mean... Adenhart probably wouldn't have been in that horrible car crash and he might develop into a very good pitcher, but... wow. If I trade a player of A-Rod's caliber, I want the entire fucking top fifty of Baseball Prospectus' top prospects.
