mm-hmm, another birthday post. happy birthday scarlett! i don't care how overexposed you are - you've got lost in translation and that's all it takes for me to love you. and even though i am a straight female, i am very distracted by your gigantic cleavage in this picture. seriously. put that somewhere else.

we just lost one of the best, the man responsible for, among others, such masterpieces as m*a*s*h, mccabe & mrs. miller, the long goodbye, california split, nashville, 3 women, the player, short cuts, and gosford park. this is...really sad. rest in peace, robert altman. there's a nice spot reserved for you up there, i'm sure.

Err...a little late, since it's after midnight. Closeted or not, I really don't care. She's one of the best actresses ever - she deserves at least 4 Oscars (Taxi Driver, Silence of the Lambs, Nell, Contact - yup I would have given the award to her all those times). Celebrate her birthday by watching the abso-fuckin'-lutely spectacular Inside Man, in which she's great as usual. Happy birthday Jodie!
