Tonight, the YES broadcasters spent A LOT of time talking about how Pettitte talked to Matusz when the Yankees were in Baltimore and told him how genuinely awesome he was, and how Matusz grew up watching Pettitte and was blown away by Pettitte even talking to him.

I hope there was a lot of, you know, like, touching on the shoulder and stuff during this conversation. And then some... like... private mentoring.

So today I didn't really have time to watch the game. I saw the first three or so innings, where Pettitte looked like he was really laboring and gave a lead back.

Of course, I missed him pitching EIGHT INNINGS of two-run ball! Seriously. Go, Andy!!!!
