The Box

Damn this movie looks bad. Like, James Marsden, you're cute, but I dunno if I wanna see you and Cameron Diaz "act" all agonized over pushing a button for two hours or whatever.* Plus, I think it's directed by the guy who did Donnie Darko and Southland Tales. Gross. And isn't the "twist" in the story that pushing the button kills the last person who had the box and gives you their million, and then the creepy guy comes by again and takes the box from you? Yeah.


* I shouldn't insult these two so snidely. I have really enjoyed some performances by them. That said, they are much, much, much better in comedic roles than dramatic ones.

OH MY GOD YES

"Trapped in the Closet" is running on IFC. Combined with this and Bill Kristol's thorough OWNING by Jon Stewart (I don't think Jon's way of interviewing, where he's constantly interrupting, is necessarily the best, but you know what? Kristol got us into the Iraq War. He got us Sarah Palin. Fucker deserves it as opposed to, like, poor Cameron Diaz.), this is clearly the among the BEST NIGHTS EVER.

...so, did she actually shave it? Or is it a prosthetic/cap? Natalie Portman set the standard for celebrities that go bald, and she still didn't look amazing. Cameron looks...bad. Though, of course, that lack of vanity, especially from an actress like her, is to be applauded.
