EW.

Anne Hathaway's performance in Bride Wars, you do NOT DESERVE the intro music of "So What." Which is like THE BEST SONG EVER.

Also LOL, Kristin Stewart in Twilight beat Kate Winslet in The Reader.

Ben Stiller...

he looks like he wants to choke/kill a bitch right now. I kinda think the guy can't poke fun at himself too much, or take other people poking fun at him...

Justin Timberlake = FLAWLESS.

I'm only reminded of this right now because I'm watching the MTV Movie Awards and Forest Whitaker is singing "Dick in a Box." AMAZING. As is Justin Timberlake.

Zac Efron, you are cuuuuute.

But what the HELL is up with your hair at this MTV Movie Awards thing?

Also, why is Robert Patterson SO PALE?

I think I may have said this at the MTV Movie Awards last year, but I remember when MTV was so awesome and cool and something I looked forward to watching. I was like 14. Judging by the girls that are all SCREAMING!!!!!! about Twilight right now, MTV's average audience member nowadays is about 14.

I watched some of the MTV Movie Awards.

OH GOD I COULD ONLY TAKE SO MUCH.

Random observations:
- Rainn was funny. DWIGHT SCHRUTE!
- Anne Hathaway presenting an award to Johnny Depp: my personal nightmare come true?
- How many of those things does Johnny Depp have, anyway?
- THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! Oh, Steve.
- DON'T LET RDJ NEAR THE POT! WHY DID YOU DO THAT!
- Between James Franco and Seth Rogen, I'll take the latter.
- It's a really bad thing when the MTV Movie Awards nominate your Best Picture of the year for their equivalent of Best Picture, and your Best Actress of the year for their equivalent of Best Actress, and the Oscars don't.
- the skit with the monkey and Verne Troyer and the Orbit lady was so repulsive I had to turn off the awards.

And we thought the Oscars were bad

I watched the MTV Movie Awards. Ugh, I know. Sarah Silverman isn't funny at all. I hate Paris Hilton, but if she made that joke about anyone else, I'd be going "ugh, SHUT UP, you unfunny, full-of-yourself hack." Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest won Best Picture and Johnny Depp's performance in that won Best Performance, please excuse me while I throw up. All the movie parodies were totally awful. And, finally, what the fuck was Jack Nicholson on? Goddamn. I think, at 20, I'm too old for MTV. Or...too mature.

That said, uh, the musical performances were actually really good (UMBRELLA ELLA ELLA ELLA AY AY AY!), though Amy Winehouse's legs are so skinny it actually frightens me. Oh and Emily Blunt didn't win either of her nominations, YAY!!!

oh eww

So like you couldn't tell, I'm looking at the MTV Movie Award nominations. Clearly, they're not really meant to be the Oscars. But look at the nominees for Best Performance...

Beyonce, Dreamgirls
Gerard Butler, 300
Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Carribbean: Whatever
Jennifer Hudson, Dreamgirls
Keira Knightley, Pirates of the Carribbean: Whatever
Will Smith, The Pursuit of Happyness

Plus, two nominations for Emily Blunt, in Best Breakthrough and Best Comedic Perfomrance (Borat better win that shit). TWO! GROSS!

You gotta love Little Miss Sunshine

Any movie that can be nominated for both the Best Picture Oscar (among the company of The Departed, The Queen, Babel, and Letters from Iwo Jima) and the Best Picture MTV Movie Award (among the company of 300, Pirates of the Carribbean: Whatever the Long-Ass Title Was, Borat, and Blades of Glory) is okay by me.
