freakin' hotness!
I was only half-watching, between all the other crap that was going on, but I was definitely able to form some opinions on the girls and other random things, as you'll see from this rant-y thing.
First off... whoooah, this cycle is chip in a chip way (PR reference). Like, where is the crazy laughable photoshopping on all the photos? And WTF @ the makeovers being done in MS Paint? ROFL. The house is a friggin' hot mess, too. I really really did not like Paulina so I'm actually glad she's gone - and WHOOOOAH at someone as big as Chanel Iman serving as a judge, even if she was useless - but even still, it was funny that she was gone. Even the judges got downsized. Maybe all the money went into all the glitter and sequins and stuff on Tyra's outfits? I'm not even knocking that because if I could pull off that jacket thing she had on during the part where she called all the girls who made it onto the show, I'd do it in a hot second.
Amber is keeeey-raaayyyy-zeeeeee. I'm actually kind of glad she had to leave (failed the psych test? Got found out as a fake and was evicted?), because, yeah, she was funny, but she would have given me like a headache, she's so damn annoying. Haha, she kind of got into the fadeout. Oh, and this is the second cycle in a row where the photos in the fadeout have been notably different and much fiercer than the actual promo shots.
Ms. Jay, during the makeovers, was hysterical.
During the interviews, I was cringing at how skinny some of these girls are! I know it's probably natural and I'm not gonna shriek "EAT A SANDWICH!!!" like everyone else would, but some of them are just crazy skinny.
As for the girls, in which I basically just say "OMG SO PRETTY!!!!" a lot:
Ashley: She's still kind of a non-entity, but damn, she is a pretty non-entity. She looks like Nik, only Nik had this tendency to look really wild-eyed and therefore busted. Ashley doesn't. And... yeah, that's about all I have to say about Ashley. She pretty.
Bianca: I think I half-love her now. She's STUNNING and she seems like she has a brain in her head. That said, when she was going on about how much she hated her "makeover," I kind of wanted to punch her in the face. But God, who'd want to mess up that face? She's really, really beautiful. I think, if she adjusts her attitude, she'll get really far, because she's the type of girl that Tyra loves.
Brittany: She's kind of... eh. I can't quite decide if I like her makeover or not. It's definitely striking, but it makes her look harsh. Definitely better than Clark looked with the same makeover, though. Anyway, her photo, and the way she acted on the set, were kind of disappointments. I didn't think it was porny when they were FREAKING OUT!!! about her photo, though, but the chosen photo is weird, if I'm remembering it correctly.
Courtney: She's really cute but really pedestrian. I felt bad for her breaking her leg and it's awesome that she made it on the show despite that, but... that's about all I have to say about her.
Erin: I was kind of losing my love for her pre-show because she looks bland and pedestrian in several pre-show shots of hers, but I think I love her again. She reminds me of, like, Juno in the actual world, because she's dorky but not, I dunno, a freak calling people on hamburger phones. LOVED that "FUCK YES!!!" when her name was called. And, if I'm remembering them correctly, both her pictures turned out totally great, IMO. She makes the ice blonde look more fashionable than Rae, and it makes her (as in Erin) stand out more.
Jennifer: Ehhhh. I'm pretty sure she's the winner, and she's really pretty, but she's not that great. For one thing, the eye. It just bugs me, I'm sorry. But it's great how beautiful she is despite that, and how she can work it with it too. Her photo was also, if I'm remembering correctly, WILDLY overpraised. But she's not bad.
Kara: Half the time, she looks totally, totally, totally, totally like a man. And a man that's painful to look at, at that. And half the time, she is fucking stunning, one of the best fashion girls we've ever had on this show. She seems like a really chill person, too. I think I may love her. Eek!
Laura: GORGEOUS. I really think she's my favorite. When she was crying it was kind of hilarious, though, because it was just SO MUCH.
Lisa: Similarly GORGEOUS. I was really upset (well, not really, but you know what I mean) that she got kicked off so early, even if I knew it was coming due to the spoilers. Her picture wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst of the week, either. Did I mention she was freaking gorgeous? Seriously, she might be the prettiest girl on ANTM ever.
Lulu: She didn't make much of an impression other than that she was way better before the makeover.
Nicole: Oh, Jesus. Where to begin with this one. First things first, she is such a POOP. Like, what is wrong with her? I think it might be drugs, I really do. Her reaction to getting called was simultaneously hilarious, and really annoying. And that makeover? AHAHAHAHAHA RIDICULOUS. While she might be one of the worst girls personality-wise... like... ever (of course, because she's the pre-ordained favorite of many this cycle, it's OMG AMAZING!!!! Can you imagine Tahlia acting like this? She'd get killed. More than she already did), her photos are like HOLY SHIT AMAZING. WOW. Wow, wow, wow.
Rachel: I still love her, she's so freaking cute, but she's really busted and kind of crazy-looking in person. The makeover was a major improvement, though. I fear she's gonna be out soon. :(
Rae: Wow. What a face. She's GORGEOUS. Her body is still kind of... not great to me, but the lady's had a kid, I can forgive her. And she worked the HELL out of those shoes.
Sundai: All of these girls really surprised me with how insanely, insanely gorgeous they are. Sundai's no exception. The makeover is a slight stumble, but she's still just beautiful. She looks like a more conventionally beautiful Danielle C6, almost.
Hopefully I'll get to the photos/ranking them tomorrow. I don't remember most of them well enough to comment about them right now, except to say that no one's was really horrible but there was a lot of blah. Oh, and Nicole's ROCKED.
